Newcastle United have announced their away and third kits for the 2020-2021 Premier League campaign via the Club’s website and social channels.

The away kit features a patterned neon yellow base that Newcastle are calling “fizzy yellow”, with a navy blue “peacock” accent being the second color featured on the kit.

This is the first time Newcastle are wearing a yellow kit, since the 2013/14 campaign. The colorway was quite popular, which led to the decision to bring back a similar color. Of course, that kit was more of a true yellow rather than a neon yellow.

The new Newcastle away kits are quite similar to Bournemouth’s 2019/20 third kits that also featured a neon yellow colorway with navy accents. Those kits were quite sharp, easy to see on television, and did not clash with any other Premier League teams.

The keeper kit for the away kit will be a bright pink, that features another pattern finish, this time a hexagonal gradient pattern. The same pattern that was featured on the blue Newcastle home keeper kit. This is of course very on brand for Puma, who have made these pattern finishes a big part of their design identity when it comes to football kits.

The Newcastle third kit is another it featuring a pattern, this time lest subtle. The design is effectively being called a “prism violet” design by the club. The pattern featured is supposed to replicate the steel work on the Tyne Bridge. This violet kit also features that “fizzy yellow” from the away kit as an accent color.

The keeper kit for the third kit is an orange reminiscent of the orange Wolves use for their kits and features the same hexagonal pattern used on the other two keeper kits. Newcastle are calling this color “cyber yellow”.
