Manchester City are looking like they will lose one of their most important midfielders in the summer as Ilkay Gundogan's contract is up and there has still been no confirmation as to whether he will remain at the club or not.

Bernardo Silva may also leave the club as well after there was reports that Barcelona wanted him on deadline day.

One of the main midfielders they've been linked with has been Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham with Real Madrid and Liverpool being continuously linked with the England international as well.

Enzo Fernandez, another one of the young upcoming midfielders, has been snapped up by Chelsea so Manchester City are reportedly looking at another talent to improve the middle of their team.

Manchester City interested in Alexis Mac Allister

According to Fichajes the Premier League Champions are looking at potentially bringing in World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister who so far had a brilliant season at Brighton & Hove Albion.

The report suggests that Mac Allister's price would be around 40 million euros so City would not have to break the bank which they would certainly have to do to bring in Bellingham.

Brighton have had a fantastic campaign so far and Mac Allister is a key reason for that with his adaptability to play in every midfield position to a high standard being why Pep Guardiola will want the Argentinian at The Etihad.

The 24-year-old has scored seven goals in 22 appearances in all competitions so far this season.
