Saudi Pro League top scorers 2022-2023: Cristiano Ronaldo ranking in Golden Boot race

Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to win as many trophies as possible in his debut season at Al Nassr in 2023, including the individual Golden Boot award.

The Portuguese star (9 goals) has hit the ground running in Riyadh, as he aims to spearhead his side in the Saudi Arabian title race, but he faces a challenge to finish as the league's top scorer with only nine league matches remaining in the 2022/23 season. His free-kick goal against Abha keeps him just six goals away from the top spot.

That top spot is held by Al Ittihad's Moroccan centre-forward Abderrazak Hamdallah, who is now at 15 goals after a hat-trick scored in a 5-1 win at Al Fateh.

Ronaldo is chasing Hamdallah alongside Al Nassr teammate Talisca (14 goals), who took and converted the Al Nassr penalty kick against Abha, instead of Ronaldo.

Last season's Golden Boot winner, Odion Ighalo of Al Hilal (12 goals), is also within reach of Hamdallah after adding another goal in a victory over Ettifaq.
