AVP beach volleyball returns to Huntington Beach, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach in 2019

The AVP beach volleyball tour announced its 2019 schedule Thursday, largely maintaining continuity with the same weekends and sites as 2018, including its three stops in Southern California.

The eight-event season kicks off with the Huntington Beach event May 3-5, while Hermosa Beach (July 26-28) and Manhattan Beach (Aug. 16-18) received their traditional summer slots.

The tour again has stops in Austin, Texas, New York City, Seattle and Chicago and will again conclude in Hawaii, but San Francisco will not host a tournament this year after a three-year run.

2019 AVP SCHEDULE

Huntington Beach Open — Huntington Beach Pier, May 3-5

Austin (Texas) Open — Krieg Fields, May 17-19

NYC Open — Manhattan, June 7-9

Seattle Open — Lake Sammamish State Park, June 21-23

Hermosa Beach Open — Hermosa Beach Pier, July 26-28

Manhattan Beach Open — Manhattan Beach Pier, Aug. 16-18

Gold Series Championships (Chicago) — Oak Street, Aug. 30-Sept. 1

Hawaii Open — Fort DeRussy, Waikiki, Sept. 20-22
