CEDAR PARK, TX — It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Cedar Park.

The upcoming Tree Lighting and Santa's Workshop will feature a snow hill, snow playing areas, live music performances, games & prizes, yule fire, inflatables, photos with Santa (bring your own camera) and arts & crafts projects. Food concessions will also be available.

What's more, the Cedar Park Police Department will be accepting new and unwrapped gifts for Blue Santa.

There also will be the 2019 Holiday Oak Coloring Contest for kindergartners and first graders. All entries must be received by Monday Nov. 25 at noon. The winners for first, second and third place place will be notified on Dec. 3. The winner of the contest will pull the switch that lights the real oak tree on Dec. 6.

The event is scheduled Dec. 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Heritage Oak Park, 875 Quest Parkway. Admission is free.
