It’s a big week for Marriott Bonvoy. Along with the announcement of two new cobranded cards, Marriott has revealed a new offer on the Marriott Bonvoy Business® American Express® Card.

And for a limited time, you can earn 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points after spending $4,000 in purchases on your new card in your first 3 months of Card Membership. This offer ends on Nov. 2, 2022.

Annual fee: $125 (see rates and fees).

Welcome offer: Earn 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points after spending $4,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months of Card Membership. Offer ends on Nov. 2, 2022.

Is it worth it?

If you qualify for a small-business credit card, this current offer has the potential to be quite lucrative. The 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points are an enticing offer, worth $840 according to TPG’s points valuations.

This card added new benefits without an increase in the annual fee back in July 2022. You’ll now get automatic Gold Elite status with Marriott Bonvoy, unlocking 25% bonus points on paid stays, late checkout, premium internet, a welcome gift of points on each stay and room upgrades (based on availability at check-in). Additionally, you’ll receive a 7% discount on rooms booked directly with Marriott, as well as earn 4 points per dollar spent at restaurants both in the U.S. (no change in this benefit) and now worldwide (an effective doubling of the earn rate).

The card also comes with 15 elite night credits annually (which can be stacked with a Marriott Bonvoy consumer card) and a free night award annually (worth up to 35,000 points). In addition, a second free night (also worth up to 35,000 points) can be earned after you spend $60,000 in purchases on your card in a calendar year.

Marriott’s shift to dynamic pricing may make it harder to use these rewards, but you should be able to find a participating property that can cover your annual fee (and then some), as our data indicates that there’s still a lot of value in the program.

Other benefits include premium on-property internet access and no foreign transaction fees (see rates and fees).

Bottom line

The Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card has a new look and still offers great benefits like automatic Gold Elite status and 4 points per dollar spent on restaurants.

With a welcome bonus valued at $840 and perks such as at least one annual free night, this is a valuable card. And when you pair it with a Marriott Bonvoy consumer card you can truly maximize this card’s benefits.

SPONSORED: With states reopening, enjoying a meal from a restaurant no longer just means curbside pickup.

And when you do spend on dining, you should use a credit card that will maximize your rewards and potentially even score special discounts. Thanks to temporary card bonuses and changes due to coronavirus, you may even be able to score a meal at your favorite restaurant for free.

These are the best credit cards for dining out, taking out, and ordering in to maximize every meal purchase.
