As Florida takes steps to reopen, Regal Railways train club jumps in to offer us one of our first live events in a while. If you do choose to go out, we recommend following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines: Wear a mask and keep your distance from those you don’t live with. Otherwise, we’ll keep listing virtual events for the time being.

Toy Train and Collectible Show: Vendors sell model trains, toys and die-cast collectibles. Also, there’s a running train layout for kids. Safe distancing will be practiced and the number of people allowed in the building will be limited. $5. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday. Hernando County Fairgrounds, 6436 Broad St., Brooksville. Virtual events

Remember the Fallen Virtual 21K: Whether inside, outside or on your patio, run or walk the distance recognized as the highest honor by many nations, 21K. Participants do it at their own pace through 11:30 p.m. June 15. Finishers receive a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier medal. Register on Eventbrite. $29-$50.

Animal Education: Homeschoolers, and inquisitive adults, can hear what whales and other animals sound like by going to and clicking Animal Resources. You’ll also find statistics on what they eat, typical weights and more. Free. Anytime daily.

Wildlife of Florida: A Webinar Series: Join UF/IFAS Extension agents Shannon Carnevale and Lara Milligan for a webinar exploring the biology and behaviors of Florida’s birds. Registration required at Free. 2-3 p.m. Monday.

Virtual Grant Peeples Concert: The socio-political musician and humorist performs a concert to benefit WSLR radio. Register at and pay $10 to get a Zoom address to watch the performance. $10. 7 p.m. Monday.

ABC Virtual Wine and Spirits Tastings: Go to for participation information. Wine and spirits can be picked up at any ABC Fine Wine and Spirits location before the event.

Join Jessica Songin as she discusses Barcino Mas Vida Cava Brut and the company’s mission to help restaurant employees during these unprecedented times, followed by a cocktail presentation. Free. 6-7 p.m. Monday.

Join Deep Eddy’s tasting room manager and mixologist Ben Seay and head of research development Jason Ducharme. Dive into Deep Eddy’s history and mix up some cocktail recipes including the Original Spiked Seltzer, Lemon Rhubard and Spring Sling. Free. 5-6 p.m. Tuesday.

Join Nadia Galati while she hosts a virtual wine tasting with Milena Pepe of Tenuta Pepe in southern Italy and Alberto Passeri of La Gerla, located in Tuscany.
