Going to the Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival? Don't miss the Tomato Wars, music and food

The Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival kicks off Thursday night at Huber Park, 1640 Davidson Drive. 

Now in its 56th year, the three-day event promises a little bit of everything and is sure to appeal to most everyone.

Do you plan on attending the free festival which will feature live entertainment, activities for kids and food? And who could resist the Tomato Wars?  Here's what you need to know about the event, including the schedule, vendors and more.

What's on the Tomato Festival schedule: 

The festival will run from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday

Among the highlights Thursday: the "Bloody Mary Bar" in the Beer Garden from 4 to 9 p.m.; the Reynoldsburg Community Band at 5 p.m.; opening ceremonies at 6 p.m.; and North to Nashville will perform at 8 p.m.

Friday highlights: From 4 to 9 p.m., the "Bloody Mary Bar" will be open in the Beer Garden; Kids Corner with the Ohio State University Bug Zoo will take place from 4 to 7 p.m.; senior bingo will also begin at 4 p.m. in the community tent; and don't miss Tomato Wars at 6 p.m., where you will find people throwing tomatoes!

Activities on Saturday, will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the a variety of things to do, such as the CT Cruisers Car Show. The last day of the festival will be capped off by a performance from the Plain White T's at 8:30 p.m. on the main stage.

Where can I park for the Tomato Festival in Reynoldsburg? 

For festival-goers, there's free parking at Huber Park and JFK Park, 7232 E Main St. 

The festival also has shuttle service every 30 minutes from Reynoldsburg Livingston Campus on Thursday and Friday from 5 to 10:30 p.m., and 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday. 

Who's scheduled to perform at the Tomato Festival?

The festival has several headliners performing:

On Thursday: 6:30 p.m. Trae Myers; at 8 p.m. North to Nashville

On Friday, CYNTsastion takes the main stage at 7 p.m., to be followed by Morris Day at 8:30 p.m. 

Saturday's shows are highlighted by the Plain White T's at 8:30 p.m., but before they take the stage, Ruvane will perform at 7 p.m.
