The streaming wars are among us. They are still at the early stages, but things will begin to heat up after Disney+ has different kinds of original content on the streaming service. For a long time, Netflix was the kingpin in the streaming world and with good reason, they created a new way to watch entertainment. Disney had a deal with Netflix for a long time and now that Disney has its own streaming service, we're slowly going to be seeing everything from Netflix that was Disney IP appear on Disney+.

Black Panther

Ryan Coogler's Black Panther is one of Disney's newest hits in the superhero realm. The film was released back at the beginning of 2018 and was the first MCU movie to get a best picture nomination at the Academy Awards. This film is one of the few Marvel properties still floating around Netflix as everything is slowly being moved Disney+. As things continue to move on to Disney+, the streaming service only becomes more and more appealing to new subscribers. The film will become available on March 4th.

Ice Age

One of my personal favorite animated films, Ice Age is coming to Disney+ on March 1st. This is a no brainer as the Disney bought Fox in March of last year. This means that we are most likely be getting all the X-Men films as that franchise is now over since Marvel Studios will be taking over those characters as they plan to add them to the MCU. Disney+ seems to be adding as many films as they can as they wait to get all their IP from Netflix.

Be Our Chef

One of Disney+'s newest exclusives, Be Our Chef, is set to release on March 27. This is a good push as Disney+ seems to be pushing in many different branches of entertainment. The official description of the show is...

Angela Kinsey (The Office) presides over this delicious new competition series, which gives families the chance to create the next great Disney Parks dish. Be Our Chef invites families from diverse backgrounds to join a positive and playful Disney-inspired cooking competition at Walt Disney World. In each episode, two families will participate in a themed challenge based on their family traditions and the magic of Disney. The finalists will apply what they have learned to create a dish that represents their family through a Disney lens. The winner’s magical food creation will become a signature dish or treat served at Walt Disney World.

A Wrinkle in Time

Yet another Disney property that is going to be making the transition to Disney+. Ava DuVernay's A Wrinkle in Time hit theaters in 2018 and was based on the book of the same name. The film hits Disney+ on March 25 stars huge hitters like Reese Witherspoon, Oprah Winfrey, and Mindy Kaling as the story consists of 13-year-old Meg Murry adjusts to life after the mysterious disappearance of her father. Disney+ continues to grow and will soon the giant we all predicted it to be.
