Travelers at Austin airport enjoy surprise boygenius show at baggage claim

Austin's annual SXSW celebration is known to bring thousands of music lovers to the state's capital. Welcoming those individuals this time around at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport were none other than famed supergroup boygenius.

As part of their official SXSW activities, Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus laid out a first-of-its-kind acoustic set at Austin's ABIA airport on Tuesday, March 14. Airport officials and travelers alike had the added luxury of attending SXSW without actually having to leave baggage claim or even step foot in the city. 

One traveler in particular missed her flight due to it being delayed, but wasn't entirely too mad as boygenius played in baggage claim.   

The same user also had the benefit of meeting Patton Oswalt, according to another tweet.

Talk about luck-y. 

Earlier this month, boygenius made an appearance at the annual Tibet House Benefit at Carnegie Hall. As a last minute addition, the performance was not only their first of the new year but the first since announcing their highly anticipated debut full-length album the record. The album is set to hit the masses on March 31.

After finishing up their set in baggage claim three, the trio is set to perform at Coachella on April 15 and April 22.
