Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA, the $1.6 billion facility under construction in Huntsville, is scouting for employees to fill its 4,000 jobs.

And if you don’t know much about the Rocket City, Mazda Toyota wants to tell you about it.

You might ask, Huntsville? The MTMUS response: Huntsville!

The video, hosted by the Huntsville-Madison County Chamber of Commerce, gives a visual tour of some of the city's highlights with the objective of encouraging potential employees to give Huntsville a deeper look.

Among the Huntsville selling points in the video: The University of Alabama in Huntsville, Cummings Research Park (the second largest research park in the country), the new Rocket City Trash Pandas minor league baseball team, Redstone Arsenal, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and a growing downtown cultural and social scene.

Chad Emerson, president and CEO of Downtown Huntsville Inc., touts a hidden gem of downtown Huntsville: The Secret Art Trail, "which is the longest downtown urban art trail in the southeast. We have over 15 stops. There are murals, there are sculptures and they are all kind of hidden off the beaten track and is fun to explore in downtown."

"You can look and see the beauty of the downtown area," Mayor Tommy Battle said in the video. "But you take that beauty of the downtown area and it makes you want to be part of it. U.S. News & World Report just named us the No. 1 affordable community in the nation. So you get more house for your money, your dollar goes farther. All that ties into having a complete community that is a great place to live."

The video concludes, of course, by encouraging those interested in working at Mazda Toyota to visit the company’s website. Production is scheduled to begin in 2021.
