A Houlton man is facing several charges after state police said he drove the wrong way on I-95 and refused to stop.

David Cram, 43, is charged with OUI, driving to endanger, reckless conduct and other violations.

State police said they received a report Monday night of a pickup truck going in the wrong direction on I-95 in Smyrna.

A trooper caught up with the truck, which was driving southbound in the northbound lanes. Other troopers shut down the highway.

Police said the trooper tried to stop the truck with a PIT maneuver but was unsuccessful. The trooper lost sight of the truck in the Sherman area.

Officials said troopers later located the truck on Route 11 in Ashland after it ran out of gas. Cram was taken into custody.
