Women honor Kamala Harris by wearing pearls
Hundreds of thousands of women are planning to celebrate Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’s inauguration by wearing pearls Wednesday. Harris is a member of historic Black sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha, whose members are called “pearls.” TODAY’s Sheinelle Jones (also an Alpha Kappa Alpha member) reports.
