Ahead of the Fourth of July weekend, visitors and residents have many ways and places to enjoy the holiday, from fireworks in Sparks to concerts in downtown Reno and North Lake Tahoe.

Fourth of July Virginia City Parade

  • Fourth of July on the Comstock is about as patriotic as you can get. Virginia City’s Fourth of July is pure Americana with a jovial atmosphere all day and night. The streets are decked in red, white and blue. The parade is full of candy-throwing, classic cars and car clubs, first responders, military, veteran organizations and more. A free concert takes place before the fireworks with David John & the Comstock Cowboys," said organizers.

Red, White, and Tahoe Blue, Brunch with Shakespeare

  • "Red, White and Tahoe Blue hosts multiple events throughout Incline Village from June 30th-July 4th. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is thrilled to participate in this community event for the first time. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival staff and volunteers will cook and serve omelets, fruit, potatoes and mimosas for the cost of $12 per person. Orange juice will be available for young attendees and designated drivers," said representatives for the event.

  • The will have live music, art exhibitions, silent auctions, drink options and fireworks. Tickets run from $35-$100.
