Texans, the Texas State Aquarium needs your help.

For the third year in a row, the popular Texas State Aquarium has been nominated for "Best Aquarium" in North America in USA TODAY's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. The Corpus Christi site has held the fourth spot for the past two years and needs your help to earn the No. 1 slot.

You can vote every day until noon on Monday, May 24 on 10best.com. As of Tuesday, the attraction lands in the sixth spot in the standings, behind Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans, North Carolina Aquarium, Florida Aquarium, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies in Tennesse, and Wonders of Wildlife in Missouri.

Each year, a USA TODAY panel of experts nominates the top 20 leading aquariums that represent the best in North America for their high-quality exhibits and visitor interactions, according to the publication's website.

Wonders of Wildlife earned the top spot in 2020 and Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies won in 2019. Texas Aquarium was nominated in 2018 but didn't make the top 10 rankings. 

The 10 best winners, chosen by your vote, will be announced on Friday, June 4. 

The Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, the largest Aquarium in Texas, offers a journey through land and sea including encounters with the fascinating wildlife of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea.
