(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — From parades to art festivals to the Chicago Bears, there are plenty of activities across the Chicago area this weekend. WBBM Newsradio’s Rachel Pierson reports.

The Bud Billiken Parade. The South Side back-to-school event steps off at 45th and King Drive, with a festival to follow, on Saturday. This is the 93rd year for the parade, featuring R&B singer and Chicago Public Schools alum Jeremih as grand marshal.

Printer’s Row Art Fest. Browse through thousands of affordable artworks in Chicago's historic Printer's Row. The annual art fest on Dearborn Street features more than 100 artists from near and far. While strolling the show, you’ll see incredible art from painters, street artists, jewelers, up-cycling artists, photographers, woodworkers, sculptors and more.

Thirsty Ears Festival. Chicago’s only classical music street festival returns to Ravenswood, offering two days of stellar performances ranging from Baroque to contemporary, plus craft beer, food trucks and more.

Dog Day at Gallagher Way. Bring your four-legged friend to Gallagher Way on Saturday because Dog Day is back by popular demand. Stop by the green space next to Wrigley Field for dog yoga, a pup cup station, kiddie pools and tasty treats. Alive Rescue will be on-site collecting supplies for dogs and cats in need.

—Farmers Markets. You'll find plenty of fresh eats at a number of Farmers Markets throughout the suburbs on Saturday. From Crystal Lake and downtown Evanston to Aurora and Batavia, there's fun for the whole family.

India Day Parade and Celebration. Immerse yourself in Indian culture and heritage during the India Day Celebration in west suburban Naperville. Considered one of the largest Indian American festivals in the country, Sunday's event includes a parade, classical and modern dances, food vendors and a free Bollywood concert.

—Chiefs vs. Bears. The Bears are back in a preseason game with the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend. Can't make it to the game? Catch the play-by-play right here on WBBM Newsradio. Our exclusive, live coverage from Soldier Field begins at 11 a.m.
