    • Forbes has released its annual list of the highest-paid television actresses in the world. It includes more shows than its list of the highest-paid actors, including "Grey's Anatomy," "Law & Order: SVU," "Homeland," and "Scandal," which wrapped up its final season earlier this year.Forbes says that the list is based on figures from IMDb, Box Office Mojo, Nielsen, and interviews with industry insiders from June 2017 to June 2018. "NCIS" star Pauley Perrette, who left the show earlier this year, came in tenth with $8.5 million. Claire Danes was ninth with $9 million for "Homeland," which will air its final season next year. Danes is the only actress to make the list who stars on a non-network show. Kerry Washington, who came in eighth, made $11 million for the final season of "Scandal." Rounding out the bottom five were "The Big Bang Theory" stars Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik, who were tied with $12 million. The top five includes two actresses from the long-running ABC sitcom, "Modern Family."The top five highest-paid TV actresses in the world, according to Forbes, are below:

6 new broadcast TV shows that could be canceled soon

Twenty new TV shows have debuted across the five English-language broadcast networks thus far this season — to very varying degrees of success. Not all of them can be insta-hits: For every "Manifest" there is an "I Feel Bad," unfortunately. TheWrap has identified six freshmen series that are already in danger of being canceled — before or after their initial runs even end. Sorry ABC, you're the twofer. • This fall TV season already has a few standout shows that are good now, and have the potential to get into a great groove. So they're worth investing in now before you have dozens of episodes to catch up on. ABC's spin-off of "Roseanne" premiered this week with rave reviews from critics, who say that without Roseanne Barr's presence, the show focuses on its stellar supporting cast and is even more reminiscent of the original series that people loved. While the networks certainly have some stinkers this season, some also have new shows with a lot of potential, like ABC's "Single Parents" and CBS' "Happy Together," which Harry Styles works on as a producer. If you've run out of good TV to watch, or just want to be up on new shows people are talking about, we took to ratings aggregator Rotten Tomatoes to rank the best shows of fall 2018. Along with the critic ranking, we included the Rotten Tomatoes audience ranking, a sample of what critics have said so far, and show descriptions courtesy of IMDB.Here are the best TV shows of fall 2018 (so far), ranked according to critics:
