Ryan Seacrest's rep is denying speculation that he suffered from stroke-like symptoms during the "American Idol" finale on Sunday night.

Toward the end the show, which was done virtually, fans noted that Ryan seemed to have a swollen eye and his words were slightly slurred. Immediately there was worry, and many viewers took to Twitter to openly wonder if something severe was happening.

Adding to the concern, Ryan did not appear on his show "Live With Kelly and Ryan" on Monday.

His rep says there's nothing to worry about, chalking it up to an overworked media mogul.

"Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night," his rep told People magazine on Monday. "Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home."

"Between Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling three-four on-air jobs over the last few weeks and he's in need of rest," the statement continued. "So today he took a well-deserved day off."

Ryan has not personally commented on the health concerns his fans have.

Earlier in the month, Ryan spoke about the challenges of filming "Idol" remotely amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

"We put the show together earlier in the week because there are so many factors to it," he said. "Every once in a while we have to be careful not to step on each other while we're talking because there's that delay that we've all experienced talking to our families at home on different Zooms and things like that."
