Simon Cowell has allegedly ended his feud with Sharon Osbourne, as the music mogul claimed he had called for peace during a phone call.

Speaking to The Mirror on Friday, the music mogul, 59, claimed he would never criticize the TV personality, 66, 'for being mouthy' when that was why he had hired her as a judge to begin with.

Simon told the publication: 'I phoned her up the other day and said “Look, I’ll be honest with you. How could I criticize you for being mouthy when it’s the reason I hired you in the first place?!"

'Sharon gets a bit carried away but deep down she’s got real affection for the shows.'

Adding that he'd happily welcome her back if she wanted, Simon said he would jump 'on a plane in 5 seconds' and 'she’d do the same.'

He continued: 'There’s absolutely no bad blood at all and like I said, when people think I’m annoyed with her, I’m not! She’s a good friend and always will be.'

Earlier this month, Sharon mocked Simon's recent plastic surgery as she said his 'teeth are too white again'.

While in March, during an appearance on The Talk, the host also revealed she turned down a role in Fox's The Masked Singer as she was signed up to return to the ITV show instead.

Sharon shared: 'I turned down to be a judge on the Masked Singer. I was signed on to do another show at the time.

'I was signed to go to England, and then Simon Cowell changed his mind and thought I was too old. I was under contract and couldn’t do it.'

In her true comedic fashion, music manager Sharon joked: 'Simon goes, "She’s old. We need somebody young." So if you want young, fire yourself!'

Sharon previously shocked fans when she threatened to drown the music mogul in a blistering attack as she laid into the last year's X Factor judging panel following her exit from the show.
