Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists sadly came to an end last year after just one season, leaving fans with a zillion questions about the spinoff’s many mysteries. Who killed Nolan? Who is The Professor? For the love of everything, will Emison ever get back together?! Fortunately, several cast members recently teamed up for a virtual reunion, where they addressed viewers' burning questions — including a few of their own — while reminiscing about some memorable moments on set.

On Saturday, June 27, actors Sasha Pieterse, Janel Parrish, Sofia Carson, Sydney Park, Hayley Erin, Kelly Rutherford, Chris Mason, Eli Brown, and Evan Bittencourt teamed up for a livestream moderated by Tommy DiDario. The event was hosted by Chat4Good (previously known as Cast4Good), an organization that aims to unite fans with their favorite stars, musicians, and athletes, in order to raise money for charity groups. Proceeds from the PLL: Perfectionists reunion supported Smile Train, an international charity working towards creating a sustainable approach to treating children with cleft lips and palates.

Throughout the one-hour reunion, the actors got nostalgic about some of their favorite BTS memories, while also paying tributes to their iconic roles. When asked where their characters would be in 10 years, several of the actors had some go-to responses. “I would hope that Alison and Emily got back together,” Sasha answered. “Maybe they would have reconciled and [Alison] could see her kids more. Ultimately, that’s where her heart was.”

As for Janel, she thinks that “Mona would have ended up working at the CIA” (honestly we could see it), and Sofia hopes that Nolan would have turned out to be alive (!!) so that her character Ava would be able to marry him. “What if Nolan and Ava get married, and you guys are bridesmaids?” she said to the other cast members. “Ava moves to New York and she’s a fashion designer, because that was her dream. Sadly, her father is in jail, and she’s made a life for herself outside of his mistakes.” OK, paging Marlene King — we’re ready for this second spinoff!

The actors also chatted about some of the cliffhangers from the Season 1 finale — namely, who in the world is The Professor?! It turns out that not even the cast knows the truth. Some actors, like Sofia, think it could be Nolan, while Sasha joked that maybe it’s Mary Drake from the original PLL (after all, Mary and Alex somehow escaped Mona’s clutches in Paris). “I had no idea what was going on the whole time,” Kelly admitted. “Am I the killer? Am I not the killer? Because of the way it’s written, you never know who’s who…but it was so much fun.”

Speaking of “who’s who,” the entire casting process could have looked a lot different. Sofia and Sydney revealed that they each auditioned for one another’s roles, while Chris (who played Nolan) originally auditioned for the part of Jeremy (portrayed by Graeme Thomas King). And that’s not all — Evan revealed that he originally tried out for the role of Dylan (ultimately played by Eli), and Sasha reminded everyone that she initially auditioned for Hanna Marin in the OG PLL series. Whew!

Though short-lived, it’s clear that the cast members have nothing but fond memories of their time in Beacon Heights. “It was really an honor,” Sofia said of joining the PLL world. “We became like a family. It was something we'll all cherish forever, to be part of something so big and so beloved.”
