George Takei Calls William Shatner A "Cantankerous Old Man"

In a new interview with The Guardian, George Takei called his Star Trek co-star William Shatner a “prima donna” and a cantankerous old man”. Takei’s comments were in response to comments Shatner made in an interview with The Times UK. Shatner claimed that his Star Trek co-stars publicly slam him “for publicity" and that Takei has “never stopped blackening my [his] name”. During his interview, Takei revealed that there was a “great camaraderie” between the cast of Star Trek, except for one person. When asked if Shatner got along with any of the Star Trek cast Takei said, “no, none of us”. The Mulan star then addressed Shatner’s comments directly, explaining that he doesn’t need Shatner’s name for publicity. I have much more substantial subject matter that I want to get publicity for, so I’m not going to refer to [Shatner] in this interview at all. Although I just did, George Takei. He then went on to call Shatner a “cantankerous old man” and said he is “not going to play his game”.
