There are many ways to celebrate July 4th. Some people go for the deals and savings, some stock up on fireworks to blow during the night, and others... eat as many hotdogs as their bodies can handle for Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual celebration. Last year’s victory fell to Joey Chestnut, who consumed 76 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes. The women’s victory went to Michelle Lesco who ate 30.75 hot dogs and buns, she’s expected to defend her title at this year’s event against the Miki Sudo, the world’s number-one-ranked female eater.

The contest has been alive and well since 1916, the year Nathan Handwerker opened the famous hot dog stand on Coney Island. Tune in to the contest at 10:15 a.m. ET on ESPN on Monday, July 4th.

Time: The event will start at 10:15 a.m. ET. The women’s competition will begin at 10:45 a.m. ET, the men’s will begin at 12 p.m. ET.

A rebroadcast of the competition is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

TV: Women’s and men’s events to be broadcast on ESPN3 and ESPNEWS.
