The Masked Singer season 9 revealed the names of five new characters who will be competing in the reality singing competition, joining four other masks who were previously announced. A few details about The Masked Singer season 9 have been released. The show will again will feature theme nights after their great success in The Masked Singer season 8. In addition, host Nick Cannon and panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger are all expected to return.

In a preview shared by The Masked Singer on YouTube, five new Masked Singer season 9 characters were announced.

There are no images of the new Masked Singer season 9 costumes yet. The newly-announced characters are Mustang, Dandelion, Jackalope, Gargoyle, and California Roll. In the video, a voiceover said, "Masknificent new costumes on The Masked Singer February 15th on FOX," as their names flashed across the screen.

The Masked Singer Season 9 Reveals Nine Costumes So Far

The Masked Singer season 9's Mustang, Dandelion, Jackalope, Gargoyle, and California Roll join French Hen, Doll, Axolotl, and Moose, whose costumes were already revealed. French Hen is a brown bird who wears a beret with an open beak. Doll looks handmade with a blue face, a stitched mouth, and sewn-on red buttons for eyes. She wears a hat with feathers. Axolotl is pink with large eyes and a smile on its face. Moose is brown with giant orange antlers.

The Masked Singer season 9 has some fun and creative costumes. Although the five newest Masked Singer costumes have not been seen yet, it is easy to imagine that they will be creative and artistic. The show's animal costumes have been very successful in the past, ranging from cute to creepy. Dandelion joins a garden of beautiful flower costumes, including Patti LaBelle's Flower and George Foreman's Venus Fly Trap. California Roll will serve up the fun and join fellow food-themed characters such as Tommy Chong's Pineapple, Bret Michaels' Banana, Tom Bergeron's Taco, Katharine McPhee and David Foster's Banana Split, and Mario Cantone's fabulous Maize. The fantasy and mythical creatures on The Masked Singer have also dazzled the audience, so Gargoyle is in good company. Gargoyle joins Mark Sanchez's Baby Alien, Omarion's Yeti, Jorge Garcia's Cyclops, and Penn & Teller's awe-inspiring Masked Singer season 7 costume Hydra, among others.

The announcement of The Masked Singer season 9 character names is exciting, even if the images have not been released yet.
