Grammy-winning R&B singer and Emmy-winning host/actress revealed on 'Masked Singer'

The Masked Singer's Super 8 took the stage Wednesday night as the top four singers from Group A, and the top four singers from Group B sang their hearts out during the night's two-hour double elimination show, which sent home not one, but two masked singers. The first celebrity to be revealed might have been feeling a little crabby, when he found out he was in the bottom two. But the Crab, who was revealed to be Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter Bobby Brown, whom Nick Cannon and others refer to as the "King of R&B," was thrilled to be unmasked because the suit was "way too tight." Following his reveal, Brown shared the bittersweet reason why he decided to appear on Masked Singer as he told the panelists, "As everybody knows, I lost my two children. I lost my daughter Bobbi Kristina, and I lost my son just recently, Bobby Jr." "They were a part of everything that I do this for. I do this for my kids, and I just felt it was essential that I come out here and do it for my little ones, you know, my 5-year-old, my 4-year-old, my 11-year-old, you know, to let them see that their dad is still, you know, kicking," Brown added. From one teen idol to another, the second singer to be unmasked Wednesday was the Seashell, who sang another '80s classic – "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany. The voice underneath the Seashell mask came from '90s idol Tamera Mowry-Housley, who first gained fame from the sitcom Sister, Sister. More recently, Mowry-Housley was a Daytime Emmy-winning host of The Real. Viewers were thrilled to see Mowry-Housley, but were also upset that she was eliminated. Some were also surprised to learn that she had an amazing voice and even took to social media asking why she's been acting all this time, instead of singing. “I haven't been on a stage like this, singing, in over 20 years, so to have made it just this far means a lot,” Tamera confessed. While she humbly claimed that she didn’t have the vocal chops to compete with the contestants moving on to next week’s “Spicy 6” round, Robin assured her, “I think you're just one of those kind of talents that with your personality, you glow, your effervescence, you just could do anything you want in your life.”
