Food and water were distributed on August 29 to victims of monsoon flooding in Bangladesh.The Red Cross was on Beraberi island in the Sirajganj District to deliver aid, they called the flooding “some of the worst the country has ever seen.” “The only way to get aid to some of these villages is by boat and many are running out of food,” said Jagan Chapagain, Under Secretary General for Programmes and Operations at the IFRC. This year’s monsoon has brought devastating flooding to much of Bangladesh, two-thirds of the country is reported to be underwater.
