The US Coast Guard airlifted to safety a man and a toddler who were trapped by floodwaters in Beaumont on August 30.The rescue came as Tropical Storm Harvey brought torrential rain to east Texas and western Louisiana. A Dallas News report said more than 32,000 people were sleeping in shelters across Texas.
