That's a girl, every 3 seconds.’ This organization is working to end child marriage. Clay Dunn is the CEO of Vow for Girls. Vow for Girls (aka VOW) works with brands, individuals, and the wedding industry to end the international child marriage crisis. VOW is partnering with organizations on the ground, like Raising Teenagers Uganda (RTU). Founder Hope Nakunda explains how RTU focuses on empowering girls in Uganda and keeping girls in school, something that has become increasingly more difficult in the pandemic. RTU creates a safe space for girls where they can discuss and debate issues, play sports, and make arts and crafts. RTU also provides menstrual hygiene management, so that girls don’t have to miss school. RTU has supported 35,000 girls with menstrual pads. VOW and RTU are taking part in the International Day of the Girl, a weeklong campaign aimed at ending the international child marriage crisis. For every like, comment, or share, a dollar gets donated to the campaign, for up to $100,000.
