39 Million Americans Expected to Travel on Memorial Day Weekend
Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and some 39 million Americans are expected to take to the skies, roads and rails. At New York’s Penn Station, lines for trains started forming early in the morning. For some people, it’s the first time they’ve gotten away in more than two years. Los Angeles, California, is expecting big crowds at the beach, and hired extra lifeguards for the holiday.
