Grimes Auctioning Off Met Gala Accessories To Help Ukrainians

Grimes is selling some of her accessories to “help get BIPOC families out of Ukraine since they’re having trouble exiting at the border”. The pieces she is auctioning off will be displayed at the HVW8 Gallery in LA along with “the works of 50 distinguished artists”. The singer is donating ear cuffs designed by Romantic Elf Jewelry and a CHRISHABANA X Dune Harkonnen face mask. The Genesis singer wore the pieces at the 2021 Met Gala to accessorize her Iris Van Herpen dress. All the proceeds from the auction will go to the non-profit organizations Diaspora Relief and Razom. According to Grimes, these organizations will use the funds to “provide food, shelter and evacuation support to those in need”. The auction is available on Artsy and will close May 26.
