Pandemic Pivot: Makeup artist turned sidewalk chalk artist
Professional makeup artist Bonnie Fortson moved to New York City when her daughter wanted to go to college and found a job at MAC right away. Then the pandemic hit and makeup jobs dried up. That's when she took her creative skills to the sidewalk. Now, businesses across the area hire her to create chalk art outside their doors.
