Why Cessna Pilot Kenneth Allen Lost Consciousness on Florida Flight

Kenneth Allen is the pilot who lost consciousness while flying a nine-seat Cessna with two passengers on board. One of those passengers, Darren Harrison, managed to land the plane safely with zero flying experience. But that wasn’t the only miracle that day. Allen’s surgeon, Dr. Nishant Patel, says the pilot was incredibly lucky to survive an aortic dissection, or tear in his aorta. It is what killed John Ritter nearly 20 years ago.
