Woman Studying To Be Substance Abuse Counselor Admits She’s Addicted To Vaping

“I vape pretty much all day and night,” says Carissa. “It helps calm my nerves.” Carissa’s daughter, Alexa, says she has tried to show her mom the dangers of vaping and begged her to stop, but says her mom won’t listen. “She doesn’t want to believe that it could potentially be dangerous,” Alexa says. Carissa, who says she’s studying to be a substance abuse counselor, says she doesn’t think vaping is as bad as cigarettes, so she doesn’t know why it bothers Alexa so much. “I don’t feel like it’s the end of the world or it’s some kind of serious problem. It’s just a vape,” she says. On Friday’s episode of Dr. Phil, "'I’m Addicted to Vaping!'," Dr. Phil and brain specialist Dr. Daniel Amen point out the dangers of vaping to Carissa.
