In the wake of the death of George Floyd, TODAY’s Hoda Kotb speaks with the mothers of two black men who died in police custody: Eric Garner and Stephon Clark. Clark’s mother, Se’Quette Clark, says “My heart was crushed” and describes telling him how to behave with police. Garner’s mother, Gwen Carr, says that when she heard Floyd saying “I can’t breathe” on video, “I could hear Eric’s death echoing from the grave.”
