How Vanessa Wilson hopes to reform culture of Aurora Police Department

While the community has made calls for change within the Aurora Police Department, city leaders decided not to make one. They appointed Interim Chief Vanessa Wilson to the permanent job. Wilson has led the department since January, through eight of the most difficult months in APD's history. She has made changes already, adapting policies and firing a handful of officers for misconduct -- everything from drunk driving to posing for inappropriate photos near a memorial for Elijah McClain. In one of her first interviews since she officially won her new post, she talked with Steve Staeger about the obstacles to change and this weekend's incident that's once again drawn the country's attention to Aurora.
