Brave Young Alabama Mother Survives Being Shot by Her Child’s Father
Melody Megginson is a walking testament to perseverance and survival. In 2019, the young Alabama mother was shot in the head by the father of one of her children. She now lives with a bullet lodged in her brain; it’s too dangerous to remove it. “I categorize it as a miracle, Melody told Inside Edition Digital’s Maya Chung. “Doctors tell me that I should not have survived. Period.” Melody believes she lived for a reason. “I survived because I feel like God's got a purpose for me,” she said.
