A panel of scientists, politicians, and scholars sit on the Bulletin of the Atomic Sciences, warning the public of impending disasters that may impact humankind as we know it. On Tuesday, officials moved the Doomsday Clock up closer to midnight — and they say Russia’s war in Ukraine is largely to blame for it. But that’s not the only existential threat the group measures.
