Is a Long Island Father Using His Daughter to Run a Girl Scout Cookie Scam?
Suffolk County Police are investigating whether a little girl and her father are scamming neighbors over Girl Scout cookies. Cops say at least 11 families are reporting that they may have been conned by the same little girl and her father. The duo reportedly never delivered the Girl Scouts cookies the neighbors paid for. Residents say if it does turn out to be a con, all the fault lies with the grown-up who should know better.
