Stranger Records Woman With Skin Condition on New York City Subway
A stranger took a video of a woman riding the New York City subway, suggesting she might have monkeypox. Lilly Simon, 33, has neurofibromatosis, which produces benign tumors all over her body. Simon had no idea about the video until her sister called her after having seen it. She has since responded with her own video describing years of stares and nasty comments by people due to her skin condition. The man who posted the video says he apologizes.
