Another sunny day: Northeast Ohio’s Wednesday weather forecast

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Northeast Ohio is expected to get another day of clear skies and comfortable temperatures on Wednesday, but there’s a chance for overnight showers, according to the National Weather Service in Cleveland.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny during the day across Northeast Ohio, and there’s a slight chance for showers overnight near Cleveland, mostly after 4 a.m. Thursday, according to NWS.

It will be cooler by Lake Erie during the day, with the forecast calling for Cleveland’s high to be around 55 degrees, and Akron’s near 61. But it’ll be a bit warmer in Cleveland overnight, with a low around 40 compared to Akron’s 38.

West winds will be calm at around 3 to 7 mph.

Cleveland gained 2 minutes of sunlight on Tuesday and will gain three minutes of sunlight on Wednesday.

Extended forecast

There’s a 50% chance of showers on Thursday, mainly after 2 p.m. Otherwise, it’ll be partly sunny with a high near 50 and west winds around 5 to 11 mph and gusts up to 21 mph, NWS said. Rain is possible Thursday evening, too, with a 40% chance of showers before 2 a.m. and mostly cloudy skies. Thursday night will have a low around 40 and west winds around 7 mph. Total rainfall on Thursday is expected to total less than two-tenths of an inch.

The Akron area could have a slight chance of showers before 2 p.m. on Friday, but Cleveland is expected to remain dry. Where it’s not raining, it should be partly sunny, but highs will only reach the low 50s. Temps on Friday evening will dip around 40 or the high 30s, according to the NWS forecast.
