Brush fire reported near Highway 101 in Agoura Hills

Ventura County crews were dispatched to a brush fire reported near Highway 101 in the Agoura Hills part of Conejo Valley on Saturday morning.

The fire was first reported at 10:53 a.m. near the Liberty Canyon Road exit of Highway 101.

Initial reports indicated the fire was two acres in size burning in light fuel on a hillside with no structures threatened. The fire reached approximately four acres by the time forward progress had been stopped at 11:18 a.m.

Los Angeles County firefighters were also on scene responding to the blaze.

Earlier on Saturday, the National Weather Service warned of heightened fire conditions due to dry fuels and high temperatures.
