Drier conditions arrive, but rain chances return later in week: Cleveland, Akron weather forecast

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Northeast Ohio will get a chance to dry out some this week after the region was pummeled by heavy showers.

Some areas could see some foggy conditions Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service, but it will clear out during the morning and give way to mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s in Cleveland and mid-80s in the Akron area. It still will be a bit humid in the Cleveland area, but Akron will enjoy drier air.

Skies will remain clear overnight Monday, with lows in the mid-60s.

Mostly sunny skies again are in the forecast for Tuesday, with highs in the mid-80s in Cleveland and upper 80s in Akron. There are slight chances of showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and overnight. Nighttime lows will be in the mid-60s.

Temperatures will dip on Wednesday. Highs will stay in the upper 70s in the Cleveland area and around 80 in the Akron area, with mostly sunny skies. Temps will drop to the upper 50s overnight in the Akron area and the low 60s in Cleveland.

Highs will rebound to the mid-80s on Thursday with mostly sunny skies. Temps will stay in the upper 60s overnight with chances of showers and thunderstorms.

The weekend’s forecast is consistent for Friday, Saturday and Sunday ... partly sunny skies, chances of showers and thunderstorms, and highs in the mid-80s.
