The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a flood advisory for eastern Palm Beach County through 5 p.m. Saturday.

Forecasters said Doppler radar indicates thunderstorms could bring heavy rains and minor flooding to an area that extends into Broward County.

Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are possible Saturday afternoon, the weather service said. Up to 1 inch of rain already had fallen Saturday in some parts of South Florida.
