Storm damage reports across middle Georgia from severe weather

UPDATE: 11:00 p.m.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ga. -- Two reports of tornado damage in Crawford County have been confirmed by the National Weather Service.

At least one home had its roof blown off along Hopewell Road West. There are multiple trees down in that area. Another home in Musella along Taylor Road sustained roof damage. This area also has numerous trees down.


UPDATE 8:30 p.m. 

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga.  -- The road near 188 North Steel Bridge Road has been washed out due to heavy rain in Putnam County.

Public Works will be working to get the road passable as soon as possible.

Please avoid the area.


MACON, Ga. -- Storms are bringing heavy rain across Georgia on the first of the new year and is causing damage in several middle Georgia locations. 

In Monroe County, a mobile home was overturned and trapped a woman inside.

Several roads are experiencing debris from trees that are being hit by harsh winds and rain. 

Where Jack Peed Road meets GA Highway 19 in Taylor County, crews are working on cleaning up uprooted trees and debris on the road.
