Stunning Double Rainbow Appears Over Downtown Denver

A double rainbow appeared over the downtown area of Denver, Colorado, after a storm hit the city on May 27. Denver resident Kimberly Mock captured footage from a moving car on the 6 East Freeway showing the size of the two bands of color as they formed over the city. Mock told Storyful that she was returning home from doing some birdwatching at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge with her husband. After he drove through a storm they both noticed the rainbow in the sky. “It was one of the biggest rainbows I have ever seen. You could see the beginning and the end of it. It was unreal,” she said. The National Weather Service tweeted about the showers, thunderstorms, and hail for Denver and other areas near Interstate 25 in Colorado on the same date. Credit: Kimberly Mock via Storyful
