Annabelle doll story

Notably, the real-life Annabelle doll has inspired the 2014 horror movie, Annabelle. It is one of the most famous horror film symbols in the world. It looks like any other Raggedy Ann doll produced in the mid-20th century.

However, a demon became attached to it. In the movie, husband John Form gives it to his pregnant wife Mia as a present. The family are haunted whenever they're in its presence.

Is Annabelle based on a true story?

Is Annabelle real? If you have watched the Conjuring Annabelle horror movie, this is the biggest question that you should be having at the back of your mind. Well, the movie is based on a true story. As the story goes, it was gifted to a young nurse named Donna by her mother during her birthday.

Donna was thrilled and carried it along and brought it back to her apartment, which she shared with Angie. At first, it appeared to be an ordinary ragged doll, and they placed it in a sitting position on the sofa in their living room. However, the two nurses noticed that it was moving about the house.

Moreover, the nurses started finding strange notes left in their apartment. The notes were written on parchment paper which was not available in their home. After a few strange incidents with the doll, a psychic medium informed the nurses that it was demon possesses.

Ed and Lorraine Warren, paranormal investigators, were called to investigate, and they confirmed that it was indeed demonically possessed. The Warrens documented several other paranormal experiences after they took possession of the doll. On their way home from the nurses' apartment, they had a near-disastrous crash as the brakes of their car failed several times.

The problem disappeared when Holy Water was used on the doll. Even when placed in the locked office in an outer building, the Warrens claimed that it would turn up inside the house. Therefore, they made the decision to lock it up for good. They constructed a special wood case and inscribed the Lord's Prayer and Saint Michael's Prayer on it.

Since being locked up, it hasn't moved out of the case though it has been blamed for demonic possession, a slew of violent attacks, and near-death experiences. All those who have discounted its demonic abilities have experienced a near-fatal crash.
