Celebrities accused of domestic violence

By Stars Insider of StarsInsider | Slide 1 of 32: Domestic violence is a problem that has been hidden behind closed doors as long as humans have walked the Earth. In the past, spousal abuse wasn't even a crime, but fortunately, in recent years, the tides have changed. Since the start of the Me Too movement in 2017, survivors of abuse, many of them high-profile celebrities, have been breaking their silence. When Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt began their divorce proceedings in 2016, accusations of assault were already circulating. An FBI report on an infamous incident that took place that year has now been made available under the Freedom of Information Act. The document provides details of Jolie's claim that Pitt verbally and physically assaulted her in front of their children on a private plane in 2016. She alleges that he was in a rage and continuously shouted at her, punched the ceiling of the plane in anger multiple times, and even grabbed her by the head and shook her at one point. Jolie says that she felt like a hostage on the plane as Pitt "ranted" and behaved like a "monster," scaring both her and their children, who she said were "shell-shocked" during the incident. Jolie also says that they weren't able to leave the plane at first when it landed as Pitt was still enraged, shouting, "You're not f--king going anywhere. You're not getting off this f--king plane. F--k you all. I'm f--king leaving you." The report concludes that no charges were brought against Pitt, stating, "It was agreed by all parties that criminal charges in this case would not be pursued due to several factors." Click through this gallery to see which other celebrities have been accused of domestic violence. You may also like: Do you suffer from back pain?
