Coronavirus scare: Kipchumba Murkomen wants handshakes, hugging and kissing banned in Kenya
- Murkomen wants all visitors to State House screened for the virus before meeting the President
- He said the President is at great risk of contracting the virus since he entertains dozens of both local and international visitors
- The lawmaker stated that coronavirus is a threat to national security and thus urgent measures needed to be taken to ward it off
Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has urged the Ministry of Health to ban handshakes, huggings and kissing if it envisions preventing Kenyans from contracting China's deadly coronavirus.
In a brief statement, Murkomen also suggested that special measures should be initiated to prevent President Uhuru Kenyatta from contracting the virus.

Murkomen said the President received many visitors at State House, both local and international, and this positioned him at great risk of getting infected in case one of his guests carried the virus.
"Shaking of hands, hugging and kissing in Kenya should be banned by the Ministry of Health to deal with Covid_19 .
The President should be prevented from shaking hands and all visitors to statehouse or other offices should be tested before meeting the President. This is a matter of national security," Mukomen twitted.
