The Action Democratic Party in Plateau State has affirmed Gen.Jonathan Temlong,( retd. ) as its governorship candidate for the 2019 election.

Temlong replaced Mrs. Margaret Inusa who won the ticket during the party’s primaries held in October.

The party’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Mr. Danjuma Auta, confirmed the development in a statement made available to journalists in Jos on Tuesday.

Auta said, “The replacement was borne out of the collective resolve by the party caucus after wide consultation and strategic realignment and also considering the fact that the party has zoned the governorship to the Southern Senatorial District

“The people of Plateau State have resolved to return to the path of honour, peace and development hence the need to pick Gen. Temlong as the man for the job.

“We believe that an ADP government in Plateau State under Temlong will take advantage of the state’s numerous resources, both human and material to transform the fortunes of the state into a key player in economic development and will promote a peaceful coexistence.”
