George Floyd mural in Ohio collapses after being 'struck by lightning'

A mural of George Floyd in Toledo, Ohio has collapsed after reportedly being struck by lightning on July 13. The mural was painted by artist David Ross just over a year ago to remember Floyd who was murdered by police officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020. Conflicting reports have emerged over the cause of the collapse. Some witnesses reported seeing lightning strike the areas while others say the age and natural deterioration of the structure caused the wall to crumble.
