Rohde found guilty of murdering his wife

    CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape High Court has found Jason Rohde of murdering his wife, Susan.

    Rhode's R1.1-million bail has been withdrawn.

    The trial has been postponed to 21 November for sentencing procedures.

    Closing arguments were finalised on Wednesday.

    Rhode is accused of murdering his wife Susan in their hotel room at the luxury Spier hotel outside Stellenbosch in 2016.

    He denies killing his wife and claims the mother of their three daughters committed suicide.

    Susan Rohde’s body was found with an electronic cord wrapped around her neck and hanging from a hook behind the bathroom door of the room she shared with her husband.

    The State has argued that she was murdered by her husband, but the defence insists she had committed suicide.
